It's been a long time.

It's been a long time since I have posted to this little blog. I cannot express how happy I am that tax season is over and I can get back to my photography obsession. I have hit the ground running; I have met some of the nicest couples getting married in 2008; wedding season is going to be great I can't wait. The engagement sessions should start next month followed by some sweet wedding pics. High School seniors are my other favorite group to photograph. I am working on the sessions for a few of my Senior Reps and they will be out at the schools promoting Mel O. Photos in a few weeks. If you are a High School Junior, or know of one, you may be eligible to be my senior rep with your school. Reps get free sessions and the ability to earn print credits towards free pictures and session albums.

I haven't been totally out of the portrait business during tax season, I was lucky enough to fit in a few fun outings. In February I attened the second annual OSP meet up. Lucky for me it was in Napa this year. I had the best time; I brought Nicole and her friends Lily and Camile along too and they modeled for the group. OSP is the best on-line forum and I have met some of the most talented and generous photographers ever. I then was lucky to get the opportunity to shoot a day after session with the talented Juliet Nicole with her great clients Kumi and Jeff; we went down to San Francisco and shot around in the city and ended up at Chrissy Field for some awesome sunset shots. And finally I met up with Nichahan Peterson to shoot with her at the wedding of Elisa and Shane. Manus Chau was there too and it was cool hanging with some of my favorite photographers. Well I guess that gets me caught up todate; I am going to post all of the events listed and bombard you with pictures. I hope not to get this far behind again; but I am sure I will :)

I hope you enjoy my latest work, work really is a good word for it because it doesn't feel like work to me, I guess that is meaning behind following your passion; I am thankful everyday that I took the risk and started Mel O. Photos and I am thankful for my family for giving me their blessings for following my dreams.
